Svetlana Sterlin writes prose, poetry, and screenplays in Brisbane, Australia. A swimming coach and former swimmer, her work draws inspiration from in and around the pool, including her debut poetry collection, If Movement Was a Language (Vagabond Press). The manuscript won the 2023 Helen Anne Bell Poetry Bequest Award and was Commended in the 2024 Anne Elder Award.
